Larla Morales (b.1992) is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Abilene, Texas. Her Visayan heritage and ever deepening connection to Texas and the Southwest is foundational to her work as a creative. In her current body of work she has been exploring the relationship of the natural world and the synthetic. She employs ancient art-making techniques alongside contemporary media and practices, allowing for a dialogue between past, present and future to occur in her pieces.

My name is Alex. I'm 31 years old, and I grew up on social media. I don't like it and never have. Growing up in my generation, my personal and professional life is seemingly non-existent without sharing it across multiple platforms. The self-agrandizing nature I feel I need to exude to succeed on these platforms, and therefore in my personal and professional lives, is anthithesis to how I like to operate naturally.

The Do You Like Me? video installation in the January 2023 Vectored Show will be an external expression of my personal education growing up on social media, and my social commentary on the effect it has had on my personality. Thank you to AmbeR and the others that make these spaces possible.

Hello, my name is Victoria Thibault. I am a multimedia horror artist combining color theory with dark symbolism for a one-of-a-kind experience. The darkness I speak of is not about depicting the monsters you can see, but rather exposing the ones you can’t.

I was never afraid of the dark growing up. I was, however, terrified by what could and would be hiding in it. My process fuses the untamed mind with the invoking display of shadowed hauntings and bizarre mysticism in the physical. The overall direction of this current body of work is to be more comfortable with the unknown as we wake up another day in an ever changing society. Through my art I am delivering darkness into light; fears of the darkness then suffocate and allow way for personal growth.
