Her work is held in private collections in the U.S. in Texas, Louisiana, Colorado and Florida. “I find that much of my inspiration has come from traveling throughout my lifetime; transporting me from my home state of Louisiana, with its cypress-lined bayous and vibrant culture, to magical places with mountains, caves, and waterfalls. Sailing trips took me to the rocky shores and turquoise waters of the Caribbean. These places continually show up in my work through vivid colors, earthy textures, and line work that mimics veining, cracking, and energy. Many of my works are some form of abstracted landscape. My approach to creating art combines various techniques and intuitive play, allowing images to emerge from layering colors, patterns, lines and collage. This includes the exploration of fluid paint pouring, scraping, sanding, blending, and mark making; a dance of the additive and reductive processes. My paintings juxtapose intentional marks with random scratches, and layers of plaster with gold leafing or reverse painted glass. This approach of experimentation has evoked paintings of distinguishable moods, sometimes with a touch of the mysterious.”
